The draw for the group stage of the WESG Asia-Pacific has taken place, with the 18 participants having been placed into four groups.

The last regional WESG stop will take place from November 10-13 at the Korea International Exhibition Center, in Goyang, where 18 teams will battle it out for six spots at the WESG Main Event plus a share of a $73,000 prize pool.

VG.CyberZen and FIVE, the second and third placed teams from the Chinese qualifier, and Australian duo Athletico and Immunity are the main favourites heading into the event, with the remaining spots being filled by the leading teams of regional or national cups.

VG.CyberZen face a tricky test in the group stage 

WESG Asia-Pacific will kick off with two groups of four teams and two of five teams. The group winners will automatically progress to the quarter-finals, while the second and the third placed sides will fight for survival in the Round of 12.
